Just because they have money, thousands of members, and a worldwide ministry does not mean that they were sent by God. Whenever you teach a doctrine that contradicts biblical scripture, you are not a servant of God but a friend of the enemy, Satan.
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:13-14
Someone asked me the other day, if God wanted us to be saved, why did he create parables and mysteries? That is a good question and one that needs some explaining. Most people believe that we can just pray and ask the holy spirit for direction, open the Bible, and POW!!, you’ll get an understanding. The Word of God has never been set up that way nor will it ever be. Because people don’t understand the Bible, they tend to read it in a vacuum, applying every scripture to themselves. When the Bible says that the Spirit will guide you into all truth (John 16:13), it was not talking to the world, so the world is making a mistake in applying this scripture to themselves. This scripture was for the Apostles. The Bible is indeed a mystery and God had a good reason for setting it up this way. He has always had a divine system in place in which his truth was designed to flow through. Because the religious communities don’t understand this system, they will emphatically deny it. Scripture clearly lets us know that God does not change and warns the world not to change his word. This includes his divine system ( Deut. 4:2; Malachi 3:6; Psalms 89:34;Hebrews 13:8). The following are just a few scriptures, both Old and New Testament informs us that the Bible is a mystery:
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. (Deut 29:29)
Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7)
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. (Matthew 13:11)
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. (Matthew 11:27)
So what is the purpose of mysteries?
If you look around today, you will notice thousands of different religions, denominations, etc, who has different doctrinal points although they all read from the same Bible. You will find thousands of different interpretations related to the same one scripture and hundreds of different groups that proclaim to be the only group who holds the truth. There are people throughout the world who have stop seeking God, because they are so confused, for to a person that doesn’t read or understand the Bible, everyone sounds right while teaching different principles. It is only through the mysteries and the revelation of these mysteries that you will know who God’s “True Church” is. Scripture tells us to “PROVE ALL THINGS” (1Thes.5:21). It is through the proof of scripture that you can come to know him and begin to distinguish God’s True Church from all the false ones. Most churches and pastors don’t even realize that what they are preaching is not God’s word. I am not even suggesting that they are deliberately trying to deceive you, but when you are not preaching the same message that the true church preached in both the Old and New Testament, then the message that is preached is not valid. We think that everyone that holds up a Bible and read from it, is righteous and a man of God. Let me remind you that the Scribes and Pharisees read and taught from the scriptures as well and was accused by Christ of shutting up heaven unto man.
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. (Matthew 23:12)
It is by not knowing the mysteries pertaining to salvation that will allow Satan to be successful in deceiving the entire world. (Rev.12:9)Just because a way seems right; because the choir can really sing, and because a place is packed does not mean that their way is right. It is only by knowing the mysteries that make you right.
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 16:25)
How the Spirit will guides the seeker.
There are a number of stories in the Bible that will give you a clearer understanding of how God’s divine system works. In the 8th chapter of the book of Acts, the holy spirit sent Philip to a man to preach Christ unto him and to baptize him.
26And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
27And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
28Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.
29Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
30And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
31And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
Although this man was seeking and reading, the holy spirit did not just open up his understanding. God will send the word to you through his divine system, if you have it in your heart to truly receive it. God sent A Man which was part of his divine system on earth, to teach and baptize the Ethiopian.
In Acts the 10th Chapter, we see another clear example of this. The Bible calls Cornelius a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house. As devout as Cornelius was, the holy spirit did not come down and teach him one word! God’s divine system kicked into gear once again. He sent Peter to go and preach salvation to Cornelius and his house. (Please read the entire 10th Chapter)

22And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
44While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
If man really believed that we didn’t need this system, why do they attend church service every week and let A Man teach them? How come they make the statement “He is an anointed man or woman of God when the word anointed means to separate by God for a special use? This is because man desires the reward without going through the system. They are comfortable with where they are at and don’t believe that mysteries still exist today. BAPHOMET, the symbol of the satanic goat, usually portrayed as a half human, half goat figure, or a goat head. It is often misinterpreted as a symbol of witch-craft in general. It is used by Satanists, but is not used by neo-pagan witches who do not worship the devil. The english witchcraft historian Montague Summers suggested that it was a combination of two greek words, baphe and metis, meaning “absorption of knowledge.” Baphomet has also been called the Goat of Mendes, The Black Goat and the Judas Goat. In the middle ages the Baphomet was believed to be an idol, represented by a human skull, a stuffed humans head or a metal or wooden human head with curly black hair. The idol was said to be worshipped by the Order of Knights Templar as the source of fertility and wealth. In 1307 King Phillip IV of France accused the Order of the Knights Templar of heresy, homosexuality and among other things, worshipping this idol and anointing it with the fat of murdered children. The Church of Satan, founded in 1966 in San Francisco, adopted another rendition of baphomet to symbolize Satanism. The symbol is a goats head drawn within an inverted pentacle, enclosed in a outer circle, hebraic figures at each point in the pentagram spell ot leviathan, a huge water serpent associated with the devil. In our recent show, we talked about how Satan has infiltrated the world system and has incorporated his message, his people, and his will upon the face of the Earth. Organizations have adopted many satanic symbols unbeknown to those who participate. You cannot justify using symbols and signs that originated as Pagan and Satanic signs. Although there is a lot of information to talk about, we wanted to just open your eyes to some of the information that exist. What does this have to do with religion or religious organizations? The Devil didn’t just get into music, politics, and educational institutions, but his greatest accomplishment is when he entered into the “Church”.

Even though the Bible already existed, MAN FOUND THE NEED TO “CREATE RELIGIONS. Why? When man created religious organizations and institutions, secretly, that was Satan separating people from God for he said not to add to or take away from the Bible. These institutions have created doctrines that are contrary to the doctrine of the Bible. Jehovah Witness’s for example state that you have to be a part of their organization to enter into paradise. Where is that located in the Bible? This can be no further from the truth since the organization was created in 1881 and their founder, Charles Taze Russell is not found in the Bible. Other institutions like the Apostolic/Pentecostal movements profess that for anyone to be saved they MUST be baptized in the ENGLISH name “JESUS” (Acts 2:38)for this is the Apostles doctrine. Well since the English language did not exist at the time of the Apostles and the letter “J” is approximately 550 years old, it is clear to see that the Apostles were not baptizing in THAT NAME !

Satan’s plan to deceive the world comes by him presenting himself as an angel of light:
But I will continue doing what I have always done. This will undercut those who are looking for an opportunity to boast that their work is just like ours. 13 These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve.
Let’s look at some other scriptures that talk about Satan and his cunning ways. Most people in the Christian community teach that there is no need to keep the Holy Feast days of the Bible including the Sabbath. Most even teach that the Laws are no longer biding.
25And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Because man refuse to seek truth, not only does scripture tell us that God will turn them over to a reprobated mind, but he will blind their eyes so that they cannot hear. This much you must understand, you will not see the trick of the enemy plain because it is his job to deceive man by every method and by any means.

 Origin of the Birthday Celebration
I recently read a post on facebook where someone stated that they were going to celebrate the Birth of Christ and that it was necessary to honor his Birth. They went on to say, “we honor his death so we ought to honor his birth”. There is no doubt that Christ was born and that he came into this world to save mankind. But man has created a celebration that was never authorized by the Father or the Son. You never see anyone of his followers talking about it or observing it. In fact, most that read the Bible don’t even understand the various events that occurred on and around his birth. For example, the three wise men were sent with Gifts and they presented them to the Christ child. But Herod was an ungodly man and this was HIS CUSTOM, not the custom of the Godly. The Bible never called them “3 Godly Men”, but they were wise among Herod. They use this one event in the Bible in an attempt to justify giving gifts at birthdays and at Christmas time. About the 3 wise men Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route. (Matthew 2:12) About King Herod When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him. (Matthew 2:13) It always amazes me when I see people celebrating feast and festivals in God’s name although he never started or authorized them, but they refuse to keep the feast days that are in the Bible which says that they must be observed forever. God desires more than anything for Man to believe in him and know him through his word. If men will just humble themselves and seek after him (2 Chron 7:14), the Holy Spirit will lead and guide him into all truth, for that is the function of the spirit. Understanding the true doctrine of the Father is not an easy task, for many take the very same Bible and twist and turn it to perpetuate their own doctrine. Has that ever concerned you? How come we have so many religions, denominations, doctrines, etc. and we all read basically from the same Bible? Is it possible to serve God in the manner in which your particular religion seems fit, or should we worship God the way in which he desires? The Bible is not open to interpretation and God is not a confused God. When he gave a law, statute, or judgment, he had one idea in mind. In other words he did not create a law and say “here interpret it anyway you like.”
How many times have you told your kids to clean up their room or go take the garbage out? What if they had 20 different interpretations on what that meant, would you be satisfied with that? Some may take the garbage out of the kitchen and put it in the bedroom. In an honest attempt to clean their room, kids may take all their dirty clothes, dishes and toys and stuff them under their bed because this is their interpretation or understanding of how these things should be done. Sounds silly huh? That’s exactly what God thinks of how you have made his word void by your own interpretations even if it is an honest attempt.
It takes time, work and research to begin to understand what God expects of us. How quick we forget that the bible tells us to seek him, seek his house, and seek his face.(Deut 12:5; 2 Chron 7:14;Psalms 9:10; 22:6; M’t 7:8). Seek means that something is not easily found. It means that you must go and discover something that is hidden or unclear. Waking up and deciding to go to this Church or the one down the street is not seeking, it’s really more complicated than that. Psalms 10:4 tells us that the wicked will not seek him. Are you wicked? If you refuse to seek after him, this is what the Bible calls you! Be honest, seek and you shall find!(Luke 11:19)
Man, through his religious philosophies have distorted the Word of God so much that it is necessary for us to seek and find him. People assume because of their worldly arrogance that they have God in his fullness. I’ve heard people tell me that they speak in tongues, they pay their mortgage on time every month, and even that they have prayed to God in the past and their prayers have been answered. Therefore, they are under the assumption that they have found God in his fullness and need not seek any further. In their mind, everything is OK. Just because God gives you a few crumbs here and there doesn’t mean you have him in his fullness. Matthew 5:45 tells us “for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust”. Let us not be tricked by possessions or the fact that we have gotten out of some bad situations in the past. Some of the biggest sinners are the wealthiest. As the scripture just said, many people benefit from the glory of God and what he has put on this earth. It is the will of God for man to worship him in both spirit and in truth for John 4:24 says they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24). Understanding the mind of God requires us to ask of our Pastors and spiritual leaders questions. Are they able to make the unclear scriptures clear? Can they answer the seemingly contradicting scriptures? This is necessary if we are to gain entry into the Kingdom of Heaven. Some Ministers will take the easy road out and explain that it is impossible to know the mind of God for his thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways his ways. 1st Thessalonians 5:21however admonishes us to prove ALL things for this was the job of the Apostles. Even today, it takes a TRUE APOSTLE to make those things which are unclear clear. God has set up those in which he reveals his secrets to as stated by Amos (3:7; 1 Cor 12:28; Eph. 4:11-13)

So the question is will you put the time and effort into searching out the scriptures and asking questions. Because it is God’s desire for you to know him in his fullness, he has no problem with leading you to those that are able to feed you with knowledge and understanding. Since HE (God) is giving them(Apostles and guardians of the mystery-1 Cor. 4:1), with time you will be able to distinguish His Pastors from those that have set themselves up. Or will you be one of those that will be destroyed because you reject knowledge (Hosea 4:6), for the bible says that only fools hate knowledge. (Proverbs 1:22). God will give Pastors that will lead and guide you and he will eventually destroy those that lie and wait to deceive you.

Whether or not it is appropriate to celebrate Christmas seems to be a perplexing issue for many individuals, even though the word “Christmas” does not appear in scripture. The inability of religious leaders to effectively provide biblical evidence against this celebration has led to its widespread adoption by countless individuals from a wide range of religious backgrounds. Even though we live in an era where knowledge has increased, access to that knowledge has been broadened, and inquiries into the origin and history has been heightened, the onslaught of fabrications for this day has remained on the rise. Ministers attempting to discredit this celebration are themselves discredited when they take scriptures out of their original context in order to prove their case. Assertions that the Bible condemns the celebration of Christmas are met with great resistance by supporters of the festival, who argue, how a testament that doesn’t mention the word Christmas might be used to condemn its celebration. Ministers who selectively denounce certain secular observance while participating in others are often branded as hypocritical. Others who contend that the tenth chapter of Jeremiah describes Christmas are ridiculed.
The Word of ‘El (God), through Jeremiah, not only condemns Christmas, it condemns any celebration that adopts pagan customs – Deuteronomy 18:10; Jeremiah 10: 1- 5; Galatians 4: 1-11; therefore, the name like Christmas and Halloween need not be given so long as the pagan origins can be proven. Admonishing the saints not to learn the ways of the heathen was scripture’s method of denouncing heathen practices. Jeremiah offered this rationale by identifying the customs of the people as vain. Anything that is “vain,” is fruitless, lacks worth, and does not yield its desired outcome. Religion (man’s way of worshipping ‘El ) esteems celebrations not supported by scripture above those which are. Of all the holy days both given and recorded in scripture, man rejects them for their own.
Neither Father nor Son has ever condoned the celebration of birthdays. This type of celebration was derived from pagan traditions. Christmas is the celebration of a birthday. It also combines a wide range of heathen, pagan and secular practices, from around the world, that have been forbidden by ‘El (God). The internal evidence of Scripture shows that the celebration of birthdays were observed by leaders of ungodly nations : a) an Egyptian Pharaoh – Genesis 40:20, and b) King Herod – Matthew 14: 5- 6; Mark 6:21. The people of ‘El (God) did not celebrate birthdays; they esteemed the day of one’s death above the day of one’s birth – Ecclesiastes 7: 1; furthermore, Communion, observed during the Passover festival, shows the Lord’s death until he comes, not his birth.
Many Christians believe that they can celebrate the joys of the Christmas season without supporting its negative aspects, but it seems that supporting the celebration also supports the fabrications passed down from generation to generation.
What’s wrong with the practice of Christmas? It’s easier to identify what’s right with it. Nothing! Via the celebration of Christmas, Christians lie in the following ways:
a) They lie through music, singing verses that say Mashiyach (Christ)
was “born in a manger,” which could not have been possible unless Mary, too, was in the manger,
“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. “ Luke 2: 7
b) They lie on scripture by misrepresenting them part of the Christmas celebration and when they add to or deletions from what scripture says. They do this by:

In a more narrow sense it can refer to the “12 days of Christmas,” usually counted from Christmas on December 25 to the arrival of the Three Kings on January 6 (Epiphany). Christmas Tree– Not having evergreen trees, the ancient Egyptians considered the palm tree to symbolize resurrection. They decorated their homes with its branches during the winter solstice.

“Religion” is man’s way of fulfilling his or her own need and Satan’s way of deceiving the world. Why did man feel the need to “ESTABLISH” religion when the word of God was already written? Why is there a need to have founders when we find the founders of the Church in the Bible? I ask people, just study your founder, and they will discover some shocking reasons why that particular religion was started. Why did Henry VIII start the Episcopal church? Ellen White the 7th day Adventist?, and John Smith the Baptist? (Here are a few more)

When people ask “what’s right about religion,” I say nothing. There is however, a right and a wrong way to worship and serving God. Religion was established in earlier times as both a faith and as a political structure although today we see this sort of entity heavily in the middle-east. We should all seek to serve God in both spirit and in truth. Put away our own agendas and beliefs that we were taught since we were a child, and search the scriptures. We need to stop letting Satan trick us by telling that lie that Popular is right. The road to salvation is rather narrow and because of religion, few people will find it.
13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Every Religion that is created use many ambiguous scriptures in an attempt to get there point over. This is where the Bible talks about Line and precepts. There are ambiguous scriptures that when they stand by themselves they can be twisted but when you put them together with the Concrete scriptures they come out all together different.
All Satan needs is time. Kill off a few generations, and raise up congregations as if they always existed. By the time you are born, your parents are already a part of these organizations. They read the Bible, shout, sing, say Lord, Jesus and Holy Ghost and that’s good enough for you. These organizations have managed to convince millions that all you need to do is repent, be baptized, and believe that Jesus is Lord and you are on your way to heaven. Well you will be in for a big shock believing in this form of teaching because it is serving God in vain. Matthews 7:21 reads:
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Is there such a thing as worshiping God in vain? Of course there is. Do you think for 1 minute that God is happy about all the different religions? All of the different names that people worship him by? What about many of the Pagan days that have been incorporated “in the name of God?” The Almighty wants no part of it or the people that participate in these practices which are called the “Doctrines, the Commandments of Men.
Matthew 15:9
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Mark 7:7
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Colossians 2:22
Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
Religions are outside of his will. It is a commandment that those that will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven will do so because they DOETH his will. It has never been his will for man to serve him any way they choose. Christ and his Apostles spoke strongly against religion. The Apostle Paul described that when he was in his religion, he persecuted the Church of God. Therefore, the “Church of God could not be a religion. Yes, there were many Jews that were part of their own religion that was contrary to the teachings of Christ although he was a Jew himself. This is where many people get confused.
Galatians 1:13
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
Verse 14 goes on to say… being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
Paul refers to this traditional teachings of his fathers as the “Jews Religion” . Here we get a clearer understanding of what religion is. These Jews believed in the Bible, they kept the law, Sabbath and all the feast days. However, they did these things according to their traditions and not according to how God established it. Therefore, because they “sprinkled” a little of their own flavor to God’s ways, he and his holy prophets rejected everything that they did. As soon as you put your ways into his ways, it is contaminated. It is the same as taking a 32 oz of cold purified water on a hot day. If someone puts just one drop of cow’s urine in it would you drink it? Of course not, you have contaminated the entire cup of water. This is what religion does today. Take part Bible and part tradition and contaminate the word of God.
Isaiah 1:13-15 (King James Version)
13Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
14Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
Because of the Jews religion traditions, they accused Christ of even breaking the Sabbath and a slew of other things. Essentially, religion makes men go against the “true teaching” of Christ. The Bible says Sabbath forever…you say Sunday. Christ and his Apostles kept the Passover festival, in which feet washing and communion was observed (Once a year). Religion desires Easter and communion (12 times a year). Just as crazy as that may sound to many of you, the traditions that religion has incorporated sounds just as crazy to God.
Have you ever noticed that the majority of the things that Christ and his disciples did, religion says that it is done away with even though the Bible say to do them forever? Just because man does not understand many of God’s ordinances, does not justify them teaching that it was done away with or it was just for the Jews. Christ did not come to do away with the Old Testament Laws or Prophets. (M’t 5:17)
Religion is a creation of man. It is man’s way of worshipping ‘El (God). The Old and New Testament leaders spoke out against religion (man’s way of worshipping ‘El (God) because):
a) religion divides the body of Christ – 1 Corinthians 1:10-16,
b) religion establishes new doctrine – Isaiah 1:13-14; Hosea 2:11; Hosea 5:21-23; 1 Corinthians 1:10-16; Acts 10:
c) religion leads to death – Proverbs 12:14; 16:25, Matthew 7:13-14,
d) religion is vain – James 1:26; Matthew 15: 9; Mark 7: 7; Isaiah 1:13; Colossians 2: 8, and
e) religion through its doctrine, suggests alternate routes to heaven – Matthew 7:13
Ok. As I promised, here is more historical evidence of the change of the Original Sabbath Day that was instituted by God. So many people say it’s no big deal what day you keep as the Sabbath Day even though God wrote this commandment with his own finger. (“Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it Holy). Through these blogs and other means of communication, it still amazes me that many “Religious People” don’t believe in the entire Bible. If it doesn’t fit their current doctrine or belief system, it makes no difference what the Bible says. I have included (in black) direct quotes from the New Advent Catholic Encyclopedia. I have put my writings in Red to distinguish the difference. For those that may say “well I am not a Catholic”, most of all Christianity doctrine has come from “The First Christian Church”( Roman Catholic Church). History books and even the acknowledgment of those that were responsible for this change, only confirms that the Sabbath Day (As today’s Christian Church’s observe it-1st day of the week) was illegally transferred.
Sunday (Day of the Sun), as the name of the first day of the week, is derived from Egyptian astrology
However, Tertullian (202) is the first writer who expressly mentions the Sunday rest:
“We, however (just as tradition has taught us), on the day of the Lord’s Resurrection ought to guard not only against kneeling, but every posture and office of solicitude, deferring even our businesses lest we give any place to the devil” (“De orat.”, xxiii; cf. “Ad nation.”, I, xiii; “Apolog.”, xvi).
Today, many religions take a handful of events in an attempt to make a point that Sunday is the Sabbath due to those events. We can see that there was never a mention of “Sunday” as being the Christian Sabbath in the Bible. It was not until 202 A.D. when Tertullian, referred to the 1st day of the week as “Sunday Rest” If you look deeper into your history books, you will discover that those that were responsible for the change, once kept the 7th day Sabbath and all the Jewish feast days.
Here we can see again, with the institution of the “Lord’s Day” (Sunday)by the Roman Church, they thought that it would be a good idea to apply the original Sabbath Day ordinances to their day.(TheLord’s Day)
The obligation of rest from work on Sunday remained somewhat indefinite for several centuries. A Council of Laodicea, held toward the end of the fourth century, was content to prescribe that on the Lord’s Day the faithful were to abstain from work as far as possible. At the beginning of the sixth century St. Caesarius, as we have seen, and others showed an inclination to apply the law of the Jewish Sabbath to the observance of the Christian Sunday.
The following is what the Bible Said regarding the 7th Day Sabbath. Many years later, and thousands of denominations later, religions have become much more relaxed on these ordinances:
The Sabbath was a day of rest “sanctified to the Lord” (Exodus 16:23; 31:15; Deuteronomy 5:14). All work was forbidden, the prohibition including strangers as well as Israelites, beasts as well as men (Exodus 20:8-10; 31:13-17; Deuteronomy 5:12-14).
Meaning of the sabbath
The Sabbath was the consecration of one day of the weekly period to God as the Author of the universe and of time. The day thus being the Lord’s, it required that man should abstain from working for his own ends and interests, since by working he would appropriate the day to himself, and that he should devoted his activity to God by special acts of positive worship.
The gentile converts held their religious meetings on Sunday (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2) and with the disappearance of the Jewish Christian churches this day was exclusively observed as the Lord’s Day. (See SUNDAY.)
This is where the Catholic Church uses cunning craftiness to influence the 1st day of the week. Although this statement is incorrect, they without hesitation explain that the “Christian” church’s now esteemed this day as the Sabbath Day. Notice they use Acts 20:7 as I stated earlier to insinuate that because Paul broke bread on the 1st day of the week (1 event), and told the Saints to set aside money that this is the new Sabbath.
7And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
So what! Is there a law against eating with the disciples and preaching on any day of the week? Recall the scripture that I used on the last post. In the same Book (Acts), we are told that it was the custom of Paul to keep the Sabbath Day:
2And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
A.D. 110:
If, therefore, those who were brought up in the ancient order of things [i.e., the Jews] have come to the possession of a new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord’s Day, on which also our life has sprung up again by Him and by His death … (Ignatius, Letter to the Magnesians 9)
A.D. 150:
And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together in one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. … [then a description of communion given as well] (Justin Martyr, First Apology 67)
Here are a few more interesting dates in history as it relates to the Sabbath:

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Should I keep the Sabbath Day?
It is amazing how religious organizations have established their own doctrine contrary to the Bible. What’s even more amazing is that they use the very same Bible to provide ambiguous scripture, suggesting that the Sabbath Day is no longer valid. The Enemy (Satan) has caused so much confusion within these various organizations that many members just accept Sunday as doctrine without requiring proof. Church leaders use a variety of scripture to suggest that Sunday is today’s Sabbath. They do so by providing the Church member with a number of events that took place on the 1st day of the week (Sunday). (Mark 16:9; John 20:1; John 20:19; Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:2). Just because the disciples broke break and collected some monies on the 1st day of the week, does not justify a new Sabbath. Some will say Christ rose on the 1st day of the week as another reason. Even in his death, he honored the Sabbath Day, choosing to rise on another day. They took down his Body before the Sabbath Day and he rose after the Sabbath Day. (John 19:31; John 20:1-9)There are a number of different ways that I can approach this topic. I can show historically that the Sabbath Day was changed by the Catholic Church from the 7th day to the 1st day of the week. What’s even more astonishing is that they don’t even hide it. Nearly all Christian church’s today (Baptist, Episcopal, Methodist, COGIC, Apostolic, etc. adopted many of the same principals of the Catholic Church, including the change of the Sabbath Day. Let’s look quickly at some statements made over the years by some in the very same organization that was responsible for the change around 325 A.D.

I will expand on this subject from a historical standpoint in a later post, but for now let’s look at what the primary source (The Bible) says about the subject. Here is the bottom line; the Sabbath Day was never done away with by Christ or any of his Apostles. The sad part about this teaching is IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN WITHOUT OBSERVING THIS DAY THE WAY IT WAS INSTITUTED! That may sound a little harsh but the Bible says let God be true and every man a liar. (Romans 3:4)
The Sabbath Day was commissioned by God to be an EVERLASTING covenant. The problem is, the Sabbath Day as God instituted it was changed well over 1500 years ago. Since you were not around when these changes started to take place, most assume that Sunday was a norm. Make no mistake; there is no right or wrong day for worshipping God. He is worthy to be praised every day. However, there was only 1 Day that God set aside, consecrated as his Holy Sabbath Day.
Genesis 2:3 (King James Version)
3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Genesis 2:3 shows us that the 7th day was not like the first 6. God esteemed this day higher than any other day. He sanctified it which means to set aside and make Holy. Scripture therefore is crystal clear that the 7th day IS the Sabbath Day:
But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God (Ex.20:24)
If you ask any of your religious teachers about committing murder, adultery, stealing, worshiping other god’s, they will quickly turn to the scriptures citing the 10 commandments; Thou shalt not steal; Thou shalt not commit adultery; though shalt not kill, etc. But have you ever noticed that they never address the 4th Commandment “REMEMBER the Sabbath day, to keep it Holy. I recently heard TD Jakes speak on the Sabbath and he stated that the word remember is referring to the past. Nonsense! The commandment goes on to say “to keep it Holy”. This was an everlasting covenant (Ex.31:16) Was the commandments just for the Jews (Israel) or for the entire World? When God called a people unto himself through Jacob, (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob), it was through them, the Children of Israel, that all the families of the Earth were to be blessed.
Genesis 12:3
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Genesis 28:14
And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
He gave the secrets to the Nation that HE created (2King 17:34) and through them, he was going to reveal his secrets. It was the nation of Israel responsibility to give these secrets to the entire world:
1These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb
29The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
When God created the world in six days he continued on by creating a day that was for all man to rest because this is what he did.(Gen 2:2-3) At this point he had not called a people to be his own. If one is to suggest that the Sabbath day was for the Children of Israel, they might as well suggest that the entire commandments were for the Children of Israel as well. The Sabbath Day attaches the world to the Children of Israel, but that subject is for another post.
So you say that you are a Christian?
Doesn’t Christian mean to be Christ like? Doesn’t that word mean to be a follower of Christ and his disciples and to do all the things that he taught? When a ruler asked Christ “What must I do to inherit eternal life, Christ began quoting the commandments. (Luke 18:17-20). In Luke 10:26 it states you must do what is written in the Law. (This should help those that say the law is done away with.) Part of the commandments is “Remembering the Sabbath Day”
So did Christ keep the Sabbath Day? Well let’s see what scripture says:
16And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
It was his custom to keep the Sabbath Day. Others who misinterpret Col.2:14 suggest that Christ nailed the Sabbath to the Cross. But if you read further it was talking about those things that were against the Church. Another problem with that statement is that after the death of Christ, we can still see the saints celebrating the Sabbath day including his Apostle Paul:
2And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Paul was a righteous man and filled and with the Holy Ghost (Acts: 13:9;19:6) and God was with him. (Acts 27:24). If you are against the Sabbath Day, then you shouldn’t plan on going to heaven because scripture tells us that the Sabbath Day will be observed in the New Heaven and New Earth.(Isa.66:22-23)
Don’t fall for the trick
The Bible talks about the Sabbath in both a positive light as well as a negative one. Understand this, there were a number of Jews that broke away from the true Church and began celebrating the Sabbath and other feast days by their own traditions.i.e. pharisees and sadducees(M’t 15:9; Mark 7:7; Col 2:22)Therefore, it was no longer considered God’s Sabbath but their Sabbath. So many Ministers lump all the Sabbath’s together and are quick to point out the negative things that were said against the Sabbath day. Did Christ talk against the Sabbath Day? YES. But according to THEIR TRADITIONS. (notice that the Bible refer to these days as YOUR Sabbaths, HER Sabbaths) Did the Jews accuse Christ of breaking the Sabbath? YES. Again it was according to their traditions. (John 5:10,16,18) When you read the scripture, it is important to discover who is talking and who they are talking to. Christ NEVER went against the Laws or Prophets (M’t 5:17); and he definitely did not go against the words that were handed down to Moses from his Father.
