Truth about Today’s Apostolic Church

Posted: November 7, 2010 in Blog Talk Radio: Religion Exposed

After doing a recent show regarding Today’s Apostolic Church and its teachings, I have become even more disturbed by the Religious teachings of this world as well as the loyalty that most members have for these leaders. Shouldn’t we be searching out the scriptures seeking for the truth? Checking behind our leaders to make sure that they have not made an error in their interpretation? We should not feel intimidated asking these leaders for a clearer explanation of doctrine. However, I have discovered that members of these Congregations are far more in love with their religious leaders than they are with the word of God. They reject the information that will be presented because this is a real emotional topic but let me remind you, scripture tells us that “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.” (Hosea 4:6)They have an emotional attachment to the name Jesus, an emotional attachment to their religious organization, and an emotional attachment to their religious leader. Somebody will get the revelation on this topic, but again due to their loyalty to their religion, they will pretend like they never read this blog. One of the main principal that Today’s Apostolic Church is based on Acts 2:38

Acts 2:38 (King James Version)

38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Now for the record, if people wish to stay in their religious organization, as a free citizen they are more than welcome to do so. However, let us not deny what scripture tells us. I have discovered that many people of this organization are so blind, that they cannot even comprehend the basic concept that I’m about to lay out for you, some information in which I have provided in some earlier post.

The main question here is did the Apostles baptize in the Name of Jesus? If you proclaim to teach the Apostles Doctrine, then you must teach EXACTLY WHAT THE APOSTLES TAUGHT!

The Answer to my following question is NO! The Apostles did not Baptize, Pray, or even Speak in this name.

Proof 1…TRANSLATED OUT OF THE ORIGINAL TONGUE.

The Bible is Correct, however, the front of most Bibles let’s you know that the Bible that we read is not in its original language. This means every word that you see is not how it was used in the Beginning. It DOES convey the exact same message, but the Holy names that were given in the beginning have been changed because the words that we read have been translated. Don’t you realize that Bibles in every country have been translated out of the original tongue into their spoken language? That would mean that every place that you see the name JESUS, would appear different in their own language for JESUS is the ENGLISH name of Christ. The Russians use a different word as well as China, Japan, etc. Today’s Apostolic Church, which was established in the United States (English Speaking People), therefore imposes the doctrine that all man, all over the world, must be baptized in the ENGLISH name of  JESUS in order to be saved. What made English a holy and divine language? Where in the Bible does it suggest that America is the Holy Land?

Today’s Apostolic Church preach this doctrine, and its members emphatically back it.

Acts 26:14-15 (King James Version)

14And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

15And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

Paul spoke in many different Languages. He was a Roman citizen and had dual citizenship, therefore we know that Hebrew was not his main language. However, the confession of the name of Christ was in the HEBREW tongue. The ENGLISH Bible emphasizes that the Son confessed his name in HEBREW although Paul spoke many languages. If you were in a different Country and someone asks you your name, will you translate your name into that Countries language? No. Do you hear people change the name of the President when he travels to different countries? No. You cannot separate a people from their original language and since we know that Christ is holy and righteous in all his ways, he will not speak in a unholy, unpure language.(Palsm 145:17)

It does not matter what language you speak in. We are not even suggesting that you have to know the entire Hebrew language, however, the name that the son was called by should have been TRANSLITERATED! This means that no matter what language the Bible was translated in, it would keep the Original name or produce the Original sound in every language. Because the English language was not fully developed until the late1500’s (this is when the letter J was developed) we  know without a doubt that the name JESUS was not spoken. ALL WORDS OR SOUNDS THAT HAVE THE LETTER J IS ONLY 500-600 YEARS OLD.

To , me, this is not a difficult concept to understand. But today’s Apostolic church insist that is the Truth! God’s holy doctrine. That one must repent and be baptized in the name of JESUS.

Since I have been down this road before, this is about the point where they begin to back off that doctrine and say that it is more important that we concentrate on the person and not the name. If you suggest that the name JESUS is an Apostolic teaching, then you might want to consider  Acts 4:12 which suggests that there is only 1 NAME that is responsible for Salvation. If that is the case and we know that the Letter J or the J sound is nowhere in the Hebrew language we also know that is was not used.

Acts 4:12 (King James Version)

12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven GIVEN among men, whereby we must be saved.

Because the name was given FROM HEAVEN, FROM THE ANGEL OF THE LORD, it is apparent that it could not have been the ENGLISH TRANSLATED NAME JESUS. (Matthew 1:20-22
