Mysteries of the Sabbath & Feast Days: Are you really keeping them?

Posted: September 17, 2010 in His Holy Habitation, The Holy Feast Days

There are many secrets to keeping the Yehowah’s (Lord’s) feast days. One of the first is the calculation of those days. If you were to examine Leviticus the 23rd chapter, it list all the feast days and gives the EXACT DAY as to when they should be kept and how they should be kept. A careful examination of scripture will reveal that even among the Jews, their method for calculating the new month had begin to differ. During Passover, Mashiyach (Christ) and his disciples began the Passover feast before the rest of the Jews. Now before some say that he did this because his death was near, it is a Law and commandment to keep it at the appointed time. Even Mashiyach could not break the law. (Matthew 5:17) If you were to search the internet among those people that celebrate the Yehowah’s (Lord’s) feast days, you will be surprised to find several dates exist among a variety of religious groups for the same feast day. Calculating the feast days is a mystery, revealed to true Yisra’el through its Chief Shepherd even today. (Deut. 29:1,29; Amos 3:7; Eph 4:12)

Now this next section may come as a shock to many people who state that they celebrate the Yehowah’s feast days. Leviticus 23:2 reads:

2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

The phrase Holy Convocation is truly a mystery revealed to “HIS PEOPLE.” If you are one that proclaims to keep his holy feast days, then you cannot bypass this portion of scripture. There are 5 main characteristics of a Holy Convocation:

1.      It’s a No work day ( Lev 23:37,8,21,25,28,35,36 Lev 23:7-8;

2.      It has to be on the EXACT DAY in which the Yehowah stated. Leviticus 23

3.      It has to be called by someone in Authority (The Yehowah(Lord)-Lev 23:2

4.      It has to be kept at the place in which the Yehowah shall choose to place his name (Deut 12:5;Lev 16:2,6,11)

5.      You have to be Yisra’el( Israel) and called by that name in order to keep them correctly. (2 Chron. 7:14;2 King 17:34; Isa. 45:4; Lev. 23:2)

The Yehowah has a place that extends from heaven to earth (Gen 28:12,16-19) in which he wants us to come and keep his Sabbaths and Holy Feast days. In Exodus 20:24, he goes on to say about this place:

“… all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee. (Exodus 20:24).

This name must be RECORDED in the exact same manner in which it was written and used by the patriarchs such as Jacob, for God’s writings are holy and righteous (Ex.31:18; Ex 32:16;Psalms 145:17) He has a name for his house as well as a pure language in which it was written in. If you change any of these 2 characteristics, then it is no longer his name.

The Lord made it a commandment for his people to seek after this place ALL THE DAYS THAT WE LIVE UPON THE EARTH. (Deut 12:1-5)

1These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.

5But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:

The word “PUT” shows the physical nature of his name. It must be physically displayed on a place so that it can be identified as HIS HOUSE for this is HIS NAME. He recognizes his name, and stated this is where HIS HABITATION is. All organizations today, posses THEIR NAMES on their places of worship, making it THEIR HOUSE. In verse 3 it shows his displeasure with people possessing their names and offering it up to him.

3And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 4Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God. 5But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come. It is impossible to keep the Sabbath and feast days at any other location including your home, for this negates a Holy Convocation.

This name and its recording MUST be established FIRST by the one that received the revelations concerning its name, recording, and mysteries that are associated with it. This was the system set up by El (God) so that man will know his people and his true Church, for these mysteries were given to them first so that all the nations of the earth would be blessed. (Genesis 12:3; Gen. 28:14; Ex.20:24; Matthew 13:10-13).

Those that stole or took the name illegally without the permission of the one that was given the mystery of this revelation; or/and were living unholy were ultimately cursed. (Amos 3:14;Amos 5:5)
